Fall 2010 Internships

The Philadelphia KiXX professional indoor soccer team is currently seeking full and part-time interns for the Fall of 2010. These positions are a great way to gain substantial experience in the sports industry, while networking with high-profile executives. This is a non-compensated internship. However, internships can be considered for college/university credit and the opportunity for future employment may present itself for the right candidate. It is essential that all interns have the ability to initiate programs and ideas, deal effectively with the public, and have a commitment to excellence in the growing world of sports.

The Philadelphia KiXX internship program is a multi-faceted, hands-on experience that teaches through practice and example. KiXX interns are given daily, short-term and long-term tasks throughout the duration of the position and are asked to manage them appropriately. With demonstrated competence and proficiency, KiXX interns will be given projects of personal relevance and importance. Each student’s internship will be personalized depending on specific interests and school discipline.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist the Marketing Manager in all aspects of sponsorship and marketing initiatives
Research relevant company products, demographics, taglines, brands etc…
Assist in the research, planning and presentation of new sponsor partnerships
Distribution of materials to sponsors
Assist with sponsorship fulfillment/coordination
Aid in developing and executing marketing programs
Distribution of materials to special event guests and VIP’s
Assist with special event fulfillment/coordination
Aid in developing and executing special event programs
Aid in developing and executing operation programs, game presentation and script writing
Day of Game event coordination and implementation
Assist in all community relations projects and program, in and out of office appearances, evaluate and fulfill donation requests, etc…
Research relevant local and national current issues, social media happenings, talent agencies and clients, event themes, etc…
Assist in all facets of the KiXX public and media relations initiative
Assist in the writing, editing and production of League and KiXX publications, press releases and newsletters
Contact with media outlets on local and regional levels
Provide editorial content for the KiXX official website, www.kixxonline.com
Assist in the development and updating of KiXX databases
Assist the Manager of Ticket Operations in all facets of the KiXX ticket promotions and sales generation
Provide support to the entire sales staff
Research and solicit group and corporate outings
Fulfillment of ticket processing
Provide assistance in the execution of all game day ticket programs
